Researchers at Aarhus University and Moesgaard Museum in Denmark have answered this ancient vulnerability with a new kind of seeing: an LED multispectral imaging system that bathes soil in sixteen wavelengths of light, revealing hidden layers, buried boundaries, and bone fragments invisible to the human eye.
