From the frozen edges of an alien star system, a wandering comet has carried its ancient secrets into our cosmic neighborhood, offering humanity a rare and humbling glimpse into the universal processes by which worlds are born. The object known as 3I/ATLAS — only the third interstellar visitor ever recognized — has been chemically decoded by British astronomers, who traced its origins to temperatures colder than anything found on Earth, in a distant icy periphery much like our own Solar System's outermost reaches. In studying what another star system discarded, we find a mirror of our own begi
