Forty-five million years ago, a star in the spiral galaxy NGC 7331 exhausted itself in a final, violent collapse — and the light from that ending has only now reached us. Jordanian astronomers have cataloged this arrival as SN 2026aaiv, a supernova visible through modest telescopes in the direction of Pegasus. It is a reminder that what we call discovery is often simply the moment the universe's ancient messages find a willing receiver.
