In Subiaco this week, that journey completed its arc: Ben Tua, co-founder of Perth's Sesh Mafia hospitality group, opened Larry's Charcoal Chicken on Roberts Road — a restaurant born from a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode about Palestinian chicken and a 2023 pilgrimage to find the authentic version. What began as a comedic premise became, in Tua's hands, a serious inquiry into smoke, technique, and the way food carries culture across distance.
