In Landsborough, a small museum is asking a question that belongs to all of humanity: what do we lose when we lose the dark? Beginning October 2, The Night Sky: Our Shared Darkness opens at Landsborough Museum, drawing together the science of light pollution, the philosophy of the Dark Skies movement, and the Sunshine Coast's newly established Dark Sky Reserve into a single, contemplative space. It is a reminder that darkness — long feared and now increasingly rare — is itself a natural resource, one that wildlife and human wonder alike depend upon.
