Saturn, long known for the geometric mystery of its northern hexagon, has now revealed a second polygon at its opposite pole — a ten-sided storm nearly 104,000 miles across, discovered through Hubble's patient, yearly watch of the outer planets. Led by researchers at the University of the Basque Country and reported in Science Advances, the finding suggests that Saturn's atmosphere does not produce polygonal jet streams by accident or exception, but perhaps as a matter of course. In the slow arithmetic of planetary science, one hexagon was a curiosity; two polygons, on opposite poles, begin to
