Twenty-five years after the Twin Towers fell, nearly three thousand drones rose over New York Harbor in their place — one for each life taken on September 11, 2001. The installation, built in partnership with survivors, families, and first responders, asked a city that has rebuilt itself to pause and hold, once more, the specific weight of specific loss.
