In a Delhi laboratory, researchers have glimpsed the early architecture of a future crisis: Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the carriers of dengue and Zika, are beginning to marshal their own biochemical defenses against α-cypermethrin, one of humanity's most relied-upon insecticides.
