Four Melanesian nations — Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji, and Solomon Islands — have pledged to weave their separate marine protected areas into a single, continuous ocean corridor within the Coral Triangle, one of the planet's most biologically abundant seas. The ambition is to honor what the ocean itself already knows: that life does not stop at political borders, and that larvae, sharks, and whales require connected pathways to survive across generations.
